Caitec Oven Fresh Bites no longer on Caitec website

I am hoping they didn't discontinue them but the only food product for birds listed on their website are the treats/cookies.
I think I am going to call tomorrow and ask about this. I'm hoping that the product has only been temporarily removed from
the website because it is not available but I have a bad feeling they have discontinued it.

The Company changed hands. What has become of the food, doesn't seem to be an answer yet.

Some Distributors have them listed as backorder, one of my other ones removed them.

I believe these are maybe another brand offered maybe it was packaged as such but made by Caitec? Available in store Petsmart.

I’m assuming these must be similar enough - These are sold out at every Petsmart within a two hour drive of where I am, and other stores show as “limited stock”

Thanks. I know about those and bought the last two bags that were available in my area. Now there is nothing available within at least 100 miles. They are the same as OFBs, just rebranded.
Good news, though, Caitec rep told me that they are waiting on the ETA from the baker so at least production is in process. She had no idea why the product has been removed from the website.

Yes, these are Caitec OFBs, just rebranded, but little to no availability. As per my post above this one they will be getting the OFBs back in stock at some point. They have been deluged with emails and phone calls regarding the product. I suggested that they offer a coupon or some type of promotional discount to make up for people not be able to get the food and having to resort to other products which for some of us (myself included) was a waste of money since birds didn't like the alternatives.

PetSmart no longer owns Chewy. They have been independent again since 2020.

Yeah the media heavily covered when they bought them in 2017 but they didn't seem to care as much when they separated lol

Fromm would no longer sell their dog and cat food products to Chewy when they were part of Petsmart. I was hoping that once they went their separate ways they would be able to restock Fromm products again but it never happened.

With the food off the website altogether and news that the company changed hands (assuming that means Caitec changed hands) this sounds like awful foreboding news to me. I also got 2 bags of All living things from Petsmart but there are no other bags to purchase locally or by mail. I have offered everything under the sun to my parrots and even sprinkle cinnamon on the pellets to try enticing my parrots (fresh oven bites smelled like cinnamon was in them). They will not eat the other pellets though. I put the alternative pellets in bird bread that my parrots love. They eat the bread and leave the pellets. I recently had both my guys examined by the vet. One has experienced a lot of weight loss so I started feeding him more of the few oven fresh bites I have left. Both guys have great lab work though after 2 months without eating oven fresh bites regularly as they have for the past 12 years. All I can do is keep offering a variety of pellets and eventually I am hoping they will take to another pellet because it feels like Oven Fresh Bites may not come back. This is really tough.

I have read somewhere that possibly by early Dec it will be available again. I will let you know when it seems to land into the distribution channel of the vendors that I use who carry it.

Hopefully the December estimate is true. My birds are not happy. Keno is not eating as much and has lost weight. She looked sick the other day so took her to the vet and they took blood and did a culture. She has NEVER been sick. I'm giving her more veggies, avicakes and multiple pellets as well as her seed mix but I know she wants OFBs. Maybe the weight loss and not feeling well can be attributed to the lack of them. At least she has started to feel better (knock on wood) but things would be MUCH better if the OFBs came back in stock.

Really sorry you are experiencing this. I am in similar shoes. Wishing best for Keno.
