Typical complaint: The bird was sitting eating quietly, then it suddenly flew at my face, without warning
This is an experienced caique owner who has shared videos of many beautiful babies
She is going to share a video of a new caique hatchling, but WITHOUT losing skin off her face.
STEP1 - Distract mama with some food she loves - looks like seeds here
STEP2- Keep the cage bars between mama and your face
STEP3 - DO NOT put your hand into the cage
ONLY THEN do you go to step 4 - open the nestbox to check on baby
Mama is eating BUT ISSUING A CLEAR WARNING
DO NOT MESS WITH MY BABY - GET OUT OF THERE QUICK
How do I know?.
LOOK AT THE CLEARLY VISIBLE CONSTANT RED RING IN MAMAS EYE
THIS IS HER TELLING YOU - THE MOST OBVIOUS WAY SHE CAN- I AM ON RED ALERT
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
