Hey Avian Avenue! I'm currently looking at a Greenwing macaw for adoption, she's well tempered and I'm in a good spot stability wise finally. I was hoping for cage suggestions within the US that can be used as a day cage/whenever I'm not home. Trying to stay under 1500$ for a cage but I understand thats not always possible. I've been looking at some 9x9 foot aviaries but was interested in something a little smaller if shes going to be out pretty much all day. The only reason I want something larger than minimum is because a protentional job would have 10 hour rotating shifts.

Honestly, I am no longer sure. Years ago, without hesitation, I would have said King's. I have a 36"x48" that is great. Now, they do not make large cages. A&E does, but the only things as large as mine are an 80"x40", or a walk-in. I am not sure what you are looking for. There are some smaller "specialty" companies, but you would pay many times that price.

Also, I am not sure where you are located. Are you in the US? I am only asking due to how you wrote "1500$".

@teamilk

I got a 48” x 36” from A&E. It’s okay but not an old kings. Paid $1500 shipped from tractor supply. Local place to me has a bunch of old Kings instock but they are smaller so went A&E.
I also wonder where you are located as $1500 USA money I would think is hard to find a 9’ x 9’ cage for that price.

Despite being a pet store brand I bought this one from prevue as a travel cage (i.e. residence in cage while I travel) for an amazon so she would have more room than her normal cage. I was quite impressed by the weight and fit of things, it's heavy stainless and while it took a bit to put together, it is solid, rolls very easily (with locks) and is quite secure when replacing food, etc. (important when my son was coming to take care of her, though I think now he will let her out).

It's not the largest you can find, but one thing to consider (or not -- depending) is will it roll through your doorways to go outside for a good cleaning. This was about as large as I could find to go through a doorway in my older house, but it's very tall.

Stainless is always a lot more expensive than otherwise, but IMO worth it for ease of cleaning and longevity, so I considered this a good deal (it was on sale about $1500).
