So I posted another post down below but I need to know how big of a cage I need for 2 Quakers.then for the food I'm looking at zupreme natural Pellets. And also I need to know how to tell simptoms of a sick Quaker cause I can't take them to the vet. I'm getting these for my birthday in May although I know it's early but I couldn't wait. Anyone please help me before Sunday so I can order everything I need from chewy

Is there a reason you cannot take them to a vet? Is this a temporary issue due to lockdown/quarantine in your area, or is this going to be a long term issue? If it's due to lockdown, please contact an avian vet anyway - they may be able to examine the parrots without you being in the consulting room, then discuss the examination with you by phone or email. It's not ideal but it's better than nothing.

Veterinary care for birds is very important. Parrots are prey animals and will do their best to hide their illnesses. By the time a bird looks visibly sick - hunched or fluffed up, on the bottom of the cage, discharge from eyes or nares, difficulty perching - it can be too late. Keep an eye on their droppings and general behaviour. However, if they do seem sick, they really need to see a vet. A problem it unlikely to resolve itself on its own.

Yes I understand I just can't find any avian vets around my area in Austin Texas. And I already have a little parakeet so I have to quarantine them for sure. I still need to figure out the cage problem and food
I have kaytee forti-diet for parakeets and I have 3 bags of spray Millet 12 sticks a pack so I have 36 spray millet bags in total. if forever reason I can't get the food I still have some reserves but I need to order the stuff today for Tuesday when they come and yes it's because of the "shelter in place" problem so yes can't go anywhere and I'm going to have to contact my local post office to deliver my birds to my house because of this issue so I yes I understand that I have to take them to the vet immediately when I get them but another thing is I goofed I didn't read the reviews of fly babies aviary... So I'm worried about the birds safety I contacted them to ship it before 11 there time and I aksked them for a tracking number too so I can see the progress of my bird and where it is.I also keep looking at the tempeture in in valrico Florida and I know that at usps the packages wait until the delivery truck comes to pick up all the packages then they ship it to Texas and waits and I need to make sure they don't die of heat stroke or exhaustion due to the heat in the airplane that will ship the birds or the truck to my state

There's a good overview of pellets here: Pellets for Parrots

All Zupreem pellets are sweetened with sugar so I wouldn't feed it. I use Roudybush myself but other people like Harrisons or Hagan Tropican.

I've had a quick search and there are avian vets in Austin. Avian veterinary science is a speciality because birds' physiology is so different to mammals. Most people used to seeing dogs and cats don't have enough training or experience in avians. Most people with parrots do have to travel to see a specialist, but its very much worth it.
