Hopefully, Ann it will clear up and when it does, then what? Sometimes one course of prednisone is not enough. Sometimes it takes a little more overall. I'm on prednisone all the time, if not I don't breathe and I struggle. Doctor's want you on and off steroids quickly as possible. I know when I am bad with something where prednisone is prescribed, it takes at least 3 or maybe 4 days to see signs of improvement. My sister seems to have a slight problem with Vertigo from time to time.

Where are you on your course of steroids, if you don’t mind me asking? Since you were getting relief, and now it’s waning, have you started to taper down?
I am on day 6 of day 8.

Well, ENTs are kinda their own ball of wax (pun not intended) but if you were getting relief from the higher dosage (like on days 3 or 4 where you were taking a higher quantity) of the methylpred there’s something to be said about that. Your primary care provider may be okay with you continuing a longer stretch of the steroids, provided you’re still getting relief from them even if the specialist doesn’t agree.
Eustachian tubes can be troubled by a host of things. Some adults need ear tubes for relief, while some are having jaw/tooth issues contributing to the problem and really need to see a dentist to get sorted.
The terrible thing is that there’s no good advice or drugs for vertigo or Eustachians. I’ve even resorted to a chiropractor once in a crazed attempt to help my vertigo- and I’d lie and not admit to that professionally if asked. My issues really hinged on my ability to get my post nasal drip from allergies under control and lessen my elevation changes. Not easy to do when it’s dust mites you’re allergic to and live at 6,600 feet. But hang in there.
