Glad he's doing well

I also take methimazole (tapazole) for my thyroid

I don't know why it amazes me animals take a lot of the same meds as humans do LOL I just always thought it would be different or called something different for animals

Saroj that is indeed good news. We have a good number of diabetic patients at the clinic where I work. We start out trying to educate our clients that keeping their pets lean is best, doesn't always prevent diabetes (as with humans) but sure does help. I'm glad that your guy has responded so quickly. What kind of diet is Byron on?
Hi Barbara,
He's on Purina MD. He was 21 lbs in 2005 but we got him down to 14.5 since then.

That's great Saroj. MD great food for overweight and/or diabetes. 1/3 reduction in weight!! Superb, I wish all owners were that compliant. Please give Byron hug for me. Thanks by the way for sharing the photo with your bird shredding phone book. Macho and Midori are now shredding theirs :)
