this morning my bird ume did not come out of her box. i took her out and she couldnt stand up and had the same symptoms that her brother haru had three days before(he died). she wouldnt eat. she must of been like this all night. she went down quickly. she had a few twitches then died. we suspect that this was due to the fact that they may have been badly bred. this has been my fourth bird that died. try to make sure your bird is well bred or they will have problems.

When 4 birds dies in the same environment it's time to investigate the environment. Much more likely culprit than genetics.

I thought it was the two siblings. The lovebird flew away (I think).
@ume If it is 4, then certainly is a cause for concern.

edit; Sorry John, yes I see that now.

one was a lovebird- he died while he was staying with someone else
another lovebird- died for an unknown cause when she was in her upstairs cage and a kite was banging on the bars
another lovebird- flew away
cockatiel- unknown cause, was staggering and falling over, not eating and problem flying
cockatiel- same cause

Maybe they were mal nourished. Baby parrots really do need parrot food, not mashed fruit. If you bring home another bird, try and find a weaned baby that can eat on their own to save you the heartbreak.
It may be worth disinfecting any place they have been, just in case.
If you want a better explaination, you will need a vets help, but I don´t know how possible that is for you right now.

I am so sorry. I had 2 die one right after the other. But they were not sick. I had a cockatoo in the same room and he was just fine. I think my older one died from old age and the other one died of heart break

I'm really included to agree also. There's something in environment that needs to be looked into.
