Have you ever thought about letting your birds keep their wings?

Yes! they normally do, I think it is taking away their dignity to clip them But here is my reason this once. I was going on a trip for 1 month out of country and found our area's ONLY licenced Avian vet Bird-sitter. She requires your birds (no matter the size) to be clipped so no incident's happen while your away. I would NEVER clip my birds if it weren't for a good reason!

They're a very pretty duo
Who clipped their wings tho? That's quite a harsh clip.

There is no good reason to cut flight feathers of a bird, not even safety because one makes the environment safe, not the bird. That is a horrible looking cut. Also the rope fibers hanging in the cage are very dangerous. Birds can swallow fibers and become blocked.

@Lady Jane Thank you for telling me! I'm cleaning the cage fully actually in 2 days so I will want to post photos of all my toys/perches now and see if any others are bad

Please remember this is my flock thread, Please PM me for any other concerns, as i would LOVE to hear them but not on my flock thread.

(for dangerous toys, PLEASE post on the flock thread)

They do have pretty little faces. The title of this tread made me think it was your ongoing flock thread- I clicked on it with my first coffee of the morning and nearly choked, it was very confusing thanks to the borrowed title lol.

Borrowed title? This is MY ongoing flock thread, but I may need to restart due to the lack of focus on the birdies

There's no need to start another thread, basically everything I've read so far has been focused on your birdies.
Shez was referring to the fact that my flock thread has a very similar title, and she got a bit lost :roflmao:

I really love that your budgies look so similar but came from different places

No they are not, many birds have got their beaks stuck in the gaps in those bells. You will need to undo the wire loops and split ring to remove the bells.

If you do not have tools to open the loop and split ring then you may need to find a way to bust the little hook/loop that is on the actual bell, but tbh I am not sure that will be any easier than opening the other loops.

i ordered it
You can easily clip those bells off, and then you can either leave the swing as it is, or jazz it up :)
I have some wire clippers I use for alsorts for my birds and I know they´d cut right through those.
