I want to build a non-permanent (because we rent currently) outdoor aviary.

However, I am *inept*. ADHD plus dyscalculia... I am dumb when it comes to building things because numbers mean absolutely nothing to me, in the sense of measurement. 10ft = 20ft = 2ft to me. Dyscalculia is basically dyslexia for numbers - it's all a different language for me. I cannot express enough that I need the most basic breakdown of instruction. I'm not being self-deprecating; I am toddler brained when it comes to math.

Actually my toddler may be smarter.

I guess what I'm asking is, has anyone built an outdoor aviary? What exact measurements did you use? What exact materials did you use? What exactly did you do?

Help the dummy

I think your first obstacle would be aviary placement ideally you would want it to be built on a concrete slab, easier to clean stops animals that burrow digging a hole into your aviary.

I have always struggled with numbers and totally a language i dont understand.
Get a tape measure 12 inches is one foot.
Go out to where your planning on building meassure out your dimensions and put a wooden stake in each corner take it from there.

My plan was to only take them out when I could sit out there too - so any burrowing critters wouldn't be a worry.

I just need super simple, explicit directions with a super detailed break down of materials. If anything is left to me and guesswork, something will end up on fire :laughin:

Unfortunately not, not with the way the house is set up. Or I could, but it would be hella difficult. I do intend to harness train Isadora. I've tried with Tteok and he was not having it at all.

I love taking the girls out during the summer and they love it, have never considered harness training makes me nervous.

How do you pronounce Tteok ?

Maybe get a cage just for the outdoors? Then you do not have to worry about building.

Thought maybe "Tock" thinking as in "tteokbokki"
It is Tteok like tteokbokki! But it's less "tock" and more like "duck" or "duhk"? I don't quite know how to really write it out :roflmao: its like a combination of T and D.

Four letters in a name makes things much less complicated.
