Sometimes when I let my budgies out they repeatedly wag their tails, and I’m wondering what that means. Am I doing something wrong?

My lovebirds do this when I get them from their cages along with wing stretches - they are getting ready to take flight :)

...or when they're horny, depending on which kind of tail wagging we're talking about

Lol my lovebird always wags his tail when I talk to him and when he wants attention. And yeah sorta when he's trying to do his business on a blanket. But that's a different kinda wag, haha. I've never seen a budgie do it though out of happiness.

Mine do it too, I read it was because they were happy, which would make sense because they love out of cage time, and always do it when I open the cage door.
