Patrick, if you're still around, it would be great to have an update on these little guys! :)

Are these new hybrid chicks?!?!?!!?!!

They look stunning! :D

Although I don't agree with creating hybrids, they still fascinate me! And as long as the hybrid offspring can live healthy lives (most hybrid parrots can), I don't see any reason to kill them.

They are the new ones. They really are beautiful! I'm making sure that they get good homes and making sure the new owners do not breed them. I also don't believe in killing a helpless animal. Thank you for your interest I'll keep posting pics :)

I had never seen an opaline mutation hybrid lovebird before.

I would not breed a blue Fischer with a peach faced lovebirds. It would make a defect in the nest and it would confuse the the hybrid.

@Connersbirds This is a very old thread, just so you are aware.

So I have a blue Fischer female and a green Fischer male, will they have any problem mating?

Theoretically no, they are the same species. If they like each other, all is well, but you can´t force them to like each other and want to mate.
Please research well before breeding.

Hello guys I’m new to the form. I’m going through the same thing Patty went through. Except my male is a Fischer blue and my female is a Peachface lutino. I originally bought my Lutino first and the breeder told me it was a boy. Then I decided to get him a friend which was my Fischer later on. The store owner also told me it was a boy. Now I’m 5 eggs deep and idk what to do. Below are my 2 little friends.

Very cute birds.
Best to boil them, allow to cool down and put them back in their "nest".
Your birds are different species and it is not recommended to create lovebird hybrids, it's quite controversial.

Thank you I’ll try just that! How do I go about future possible clutches? Do I separate them now? I had no intention of breeding them. Just wanted to get my PF a friend. Next thing you know I see their courtship dance and then baby making time. So I was confused considering what the breeders told me before I got them.

If you have a nest box or hut / bed of some sort, remove it.
In the future you can boil the eggs when they are laid. I like to use dummy eggs so I don't have to boil, it is much quicker to switch the egg. Worth investing in a set of at least 7.

different species that belong to the same genus may be fertile but their is a 50% chance of that.

Offspring produced by a Roseicollis and any of the eyering type lovebirds (Fischeri, Personatus, Lillianae, Nigrigenis) will be infertile.
Any offspring produced between two different species of the Eye-ring group will be fertile.
Again, none of this is recommended nor advised. If breeding lovebirds, unless you are an expert in mutations and looking to bring one to another species, then always breed same species with each other.
