some body pillows to soften BScoot’s cage crashes is my new idea. I can’t have a zippered cover or a slip on cover, both due to Rudy. These are going to get horribly pooped on and look yucky. Any ideas for a washable solution to this problem?

Maybe something that is in a waterproof/plastic case? That would definitely be easier to clean....

What are the dimensions of his cage?

You might be able to find a kennel pad that would fit. They are soft padded and easy to clean.

Lots of pillows are machine washable, get one or have one made that you can toss in the wash?

Pool noodles, maybe? Easy to clean and install over the metal legs.

Except that birds might try to munch on the foam. :unsure1:

If you sew or know someone who does.....I'd use washable outdoor fabrics, padded with quilt batting. Make leg covers for the cage & velcro straps to hold them in place.

I’m thinking use those washable dog per pads over something padded. They have a soft flannel side and a waterproof side
On the legs you mean?

Yes. you mentioned poop - those are easy to wash. So if you put foam around the legs then those pads, you could remove them (but not the padding) and wash easily.
