Birds and Allergies

Hello Bird Friends,
I recently adopted a sweet and funny Sun Conure name Ben. In a few months I will be adopting another Conure.
My daughter has two cocketiels and a macaw and tonight our conversation turned to allergies.
Does anyone have suggestions on what can be done to help alleviate bird dander through the home?

Regular vacuuming, Wiping down surfaces, regular baths for your birds and an air purifier.


Also, It´s not recommended to house old world and new world parrots together. I don´t know how much two Tiels would affect a macaw. @Hankmacaw

Old World birds (cockatiels, cockatoos, African Grey) should never be housed with New World birds ( Amazons, conures, caiques, parrotlets, Pionus, quaker parakeets, and macaws). The powder down of Old World bird can and often does cause a fatal disease in New World birds. This disease is called "Pulmonary Hypersensitivity Syndrome. Blue and Gold macaws are the most sensitive to this dust.You are being redirected...
