My only pointer would be to not use yarn for stringing toys :) The small fibers can come off and build up in their crop and can cause impaction. Otherwise they look great!

Thank you! I was wondering if there was anything safer because I used twine, I tried jute but it was really thick and I thought it was more likely to be chewed on,

I'd use leather strips rather than the yarn as was mentioned. Just get vegetable tanned leather from someone that sells bird toy parts.

I use vegetable tanned leather lace and paper rope mostly :)

Lol! but no way there was too much physical labor involved, :lol:
I know what you mean. There was a toy my Parrotlet, Streak, loved. BUT they were $14.00-$16.00 each and he'd go through one in a couple of days tops! So I was able to find all the parts and started making my own. They took about 10-20 min to make each. If I was lucky he'd let the beads and stars alone and I could do one in 10 min from scratch 20 mins. Here's a weekly "Hoard"
