Bird Rescues??

Hi, I have a question and I didn't know where to post it, so I posted it here.
I have a friend who lives in Huntsville, Alabama, United States, and she is looking to get a Conure or a parakeet. I heard that there were bird animal rescue places and that that's a good place to adopt a bird. Does anyone know of any bird rescues were she lives? Or near there? If not then were's another good option for her to adopt a bird? Breeder or Petshop? And if so do you guys know of any near her area?

You could also check craigslist and places like that. There are always animals in need of a home on those. Just be careful with those types of places for scams.
