Falconry is pretty big here in Idaho, although still highly regulated. ( as it should be )

We have a "Birds of Prey" park here that I'm so excited to see this summer. I hear you can even volunteer, and some volunteers eventually get to handle some of the birds. I'm tempted to volunteer...but not sure if I could afford the time.

If birds of prey, particularly Peregrine Falcons interest you.... check this out.... San Jose Peregrine Falcon Alliance. Check out the You Tube site (from the links page) for prior years videos of the peregrine pair and eyeasses (fancy word for chicks).

The pair which this website revolves around is expected to lay eggs in the next few weeks, and the entire sequence unfolds live on camera. They have been paying frequent visits to the next area and can often be seen on camera. Check it out: SJ FALCON CAM

I am very sad that due to my surgery I will be unable to make my annual pilgrimage to San Jose for fledge week, this year.

I absolutely love the red tail hawk I see those all the time here in front of my window overlooking a dry riverbed
