Howdy!

My cockatiel seems to have a sinus infection (he has white blockages forming in both of his nostrils) and I wanted to give him a dose of Enrotex (an antibiotic) in his water bowl. I have had the container of powder for a year and a half and I have opened it once in order to give some of it to a friend. I today read on the container label to,"administer the medicine for 5 days and to refrigerate the stock solution in the refrigerator and to discard it after five days".

I have kept the medicine container in a cool dry place and the expiration date isn't until June of next year. Is the medicine safe to use after I opened it one time?

Those seem to be the directions once a solution is made with water. So the dry powder might still good as long as its not past its expiration date.
