Hello!

So excited i found this forum. I am still relatively new to birds. I brought home my first cockatiel (Kevin Yellow pictured below) and immediately became obsessed and within months bought him a friend (Tina Grey Cockatiel Pictured below) My bird home did not feel complete and my husband and i adopted a GCC about a year later (Oliver Pictured Below).

Just yesterday i adopted an almost 60 year old Goffin Cockatoo Arthur! I like many other bird owners swore they would NEVER own a cockatoo just to fall in love with him at our local rescue (The reason i joined the forum was for more info on cockatoos !)

My husband and i also have over 20 Reptiles (I will not list all of them Lol) But our “coolest” reptile is a 5 foot long Argentine Tegu! In our home we have 1 bird room and 1 lizard room. It’s basically a Zoo! (Oh and 2 cats and a Dog)

Can’t wait to give/receive advice and see all your feathered family members

I think I read somewhere that Tegu's can be potty trained, is that the case with your Tegu? Does he also roams around the house?
And what is his/her name?
I've never met someone who has had a Tegu as pet so sorry for my burning curiousity

Yes!! Our Tegu is potty trained He goes in a litter box. He’s also fully trained around cats and dogs so they can all coexist. He roams the house between 10am-2pm. Then 2pm-7pm is bird time so he’s goes into his room.

Her name is Ladybug. She’s extremely friendly and actually used to sleep in bed with us periodically like a dog!! She knows all sorts of tricks.
