A cat snuck into my room while I had my conure out. She managed to scratch him before I separated them, and Diego (my parrot) started bleeding. He didn’t look like he was in pain, and he wasn’t losing much blood, but I’m still very worried for him. We washed out the wound and it stopped bleeding, it was a very small cut. What else should I do?

Vet immediately.

Cats carry bacteria in their mouths and claws which is fatal to birds. If Diego is bleeding, the bacteria has a way into his bloodstream. Washing the cut isn't enough - he must be given antibiotics.
