That looks like it could use a couple of stitches. Sorry you got bit. Cosmo got me good a few days ago for taking her away from my dachshund's crate which she thinks should be her nest. Except, it was just a pressure bite to my little finger. Swelled a little, still sore, only minor bruising and minimal bleeding. I was lucky.
It probably should, but I'm going to see if it'll start to close on it's own..
Chaos was getting into stuff, and I was telling him to stop. He gets pretty excited when we butt heads, and I decided he needed some lunch and downtime and asked for a step up to walk him back to his cage.
He was flared, but I figured once we were moving he'd be okay, nope, not okay.
It does not pay to get complacent, just because things have been on an even keel.

I got a bite last week on my forearm. I was rushing, broke my rules. Broody hen. Had a video doc appt about an hour after it happened and she was fussing about it it more than I was. shizz happens with our companion animals that have a can opener on their face.

Oh yikes! ,,Can ya get it butterflied or glued back?
Someone did suggest that, but I was afraid of infection that might start that I wouldn't see.
And it's healing fine. Starting to knit shut. :)

A lady at a Bird store i went to has a macaw who accidently ripped off her ear :scared2:when he flew off of her, i honestly don't know how the macaw did it. I'm guessing she gad a earing on? But suprisingly, she is adding on to her flock with another macaw

And that is why my budgies are the only birds allowed on my shoulders. :scared5:

Birds are so mischievous sometimes just like the fish bit my hand.

I get those if their nails aren't blunted.

Lol It is actually pretty deep, fair bit deeper than a scratch unfortunately and it is still seeping blood. Thankfully it was not a deliberate crunch or I could have been really sore and sorry. The nurse wanted to stitch or glue it but the GP wanted it to drain if any gunk/bacteria was still inside after they washed it out so they opted for the sticky strips they use instead of stiches so they could leave a tiny bit at the edges open.

It could be a lot worse, but here is a Moluccan Cockatoo bite. Picked him up on my right hand and was petting him. He reached up and grabbed my collarbone, and then leaned down and bit the hand he was standing on. Just a little pink spot on my collarbone, no broken skin. Arnica gel is the best.

Bottom beak 1st picture. Top beak 2nd

After this I went to clean a pineapple Conures cage and needed to take her out. She stepped up and then bit me. I waited a second for her to stop (she wasn't drawing blood and she stopped) and was thinking, "girl, come on. You don't have anything on a Moluccan Cockatoo. Step up and let's go.":roflmao:
