I've had a pionus bite my ear once.... HOT DIGGITY DAWG!!!!! My ear burned awful for three hours after that. No holes just a powerful pinch. From then on I swore anything bigger than my conures would ever have shoulder time.
Lurch bit my ear once too. I didn't share my oatmeal fast enough and POW! He did punch two holes in my right ear and we had a very bad talk and I stuffed him kicking and screaming into his cage and covered him for a while so he could birdy swear at me while I calmed down. I finally let him out in the early evening and he landed on my recliner and said HI Sweetheart so I figured we were good...

It's been 0 days without incident.

Rowan was sitting nicely on my hand. I wanted to take a closer look at a wonky looking feather on his wing, and thought maybe since he was in such a relaxed and good mood he wouldn't mind, but. Hm. 1610956303332.png

He gave me this rather artful stab-and-drag along my knuckle as thanks.

Here is a very similar knucle bite from me so you don't feel alone. Stings when I do washing up. Happened during our play time but I was asking for it. Pinned Astro down on her back and tickled her tummy.....................

Looks like he tried to be easy on you but when they are big and forget they can fly these things happen.
Thankfully he’s usually pretty careful with me even when he’s poopy lol.

Bites there take forever to heal, maybe a couple of stitches to hold it shut?

I think it's more risky to own a bird than attack dog:rofl: i can imagine posting on this thread in the future when I likely own a bigger bird

Chaos got me today. My fault, I saw the fluffed head and dilated eyes.
I asked for a step up. Got that and more.
Deep!
That looks like it could use a couple of stitches. Sorry you got bit. Cosmo got me good a few days ago for taking her away from my dachshund's crate which she thinks should be her nest. Except, it was just a pressure bite to my little finger. Swelled a little, still sore, only minor bruising and minimal bleeding. I was lucky.
