For context, Preeno is my first budgie and has been with me since fledged so he's very comfortable with us and has been training since then. Patches is relatively new and has learnt certain thimgs from Preeno through observation.
Recently, he seems a little more anxious with hands and doesn't seem to recognise the millet? I'm not sure if it's the change in colour (i have red and yellow) or Preeno being a bully (he pushes in and gets all squawky at Patches). He still eats it if I have it in the cage so it's not that he doesn't like it anymore.
I would love to train him with Preeno in the cage so that Preeno doesn't get in the way. But he's very attached and gets nervous when Preeno isn't near him. I'm thinking of going back to targeting through cage bars or on a stand near the cage. Not sure what's the best way ti boost his confidence!
