well little bob a finch got his leg stuck in a crack and nearly served his leg he was this close to severing it the doctor just took what was rest of it off so were going to pick him up now the doc says he is doing good for the fact that he manged not to die with the manhandling and the loss of blood (way more then 5 drop...rember this is a finch) so he said in the beginning he may just kill himself in fright but the fact that he took the pain med shots and such with out going under his chances are good.

he is doing good today... getting better at perching but every thing is still low so he wont hurt himself i have also installed a "visitor" perch outside the cage Nere his fav spot since his little girl friend can visit. in 2-3 weeks i will possibly move him to the 18 by 18 cage he is in a travel cage its also the baby weening cage witch i wont need for a wile but i figured he would do better in the cage he is in now. he is taking his meds better then i would ever expected and i hope all this stuff can end in 2 weeks :laughing12: and i don't think we will need the refill because he is a healthy little manly cock (this time of year you can piratically fell the testosterone in the room:rolleyes:)

There were quite a few parrots at the Old Parrot Jungle that only had one leg and were thriving . Also Flamingo Gardens has an eagle pair where the male only has one leg. Once he is healed I'm sure everything will be fine. Come to think of it , the seagull on my dock has been missing a leg and seems to be doing fine for two winters now.
