I can’t get over how absolutely stunning those birds are.

The perch on a lamp shade is a clever idea. I am on east coast too. Lowest temp outside was Friday early am at 3 degrees. No power failure though.

Without the perch she lands on the shades and poops down the sides so I made two two lamp perches for her. This has the added benefit of keeping her in the living room rather than exploring the house.

When I got her from a re-home situation I had no idea what a Hawkhead was. That was 7 years ago now and she's been amazing.
