Bebe left me this evening.

Bebe is the cockatiel that is my profile pic. She hatched in 2008, and was cage mate to recently passed on Shadow (march).
I came home tonight, normal weekday after work. Took the birds out, Bebe always greets me by flying to my head then sitting on me to complete the evening tasks. I made a sandwich sat on the couch with her. She shared a couple bites of bread with me, and then it all went wrong. She was traversing the couch when I noticed she got fluffy and stopped moving. I reached over to pet her and she was clearly in distress as her beak was open and she was breathing heavily. I pulled her close to see what was wrong and she was HOT. I was trying to decide to get ready to head to the vet, and she started coughing up blood. within 2 minutes she was gone. I have lost half my flock now in 2 months. I am in complete shock right now. She was the only one of my group who loved to cuddle.

Rest in peace baby girl. Bebe 2008-2020.
