Beak Injury on Parrotlet

Just looking for others who might have experienced a beak injury on their bird. My grey bit my parrotlets beak on 8/3 through the cage bars. It is a significant injury to his lower left beak. It is actually detached at the point it should connect to his skin. He has been to the vet and is on antibiotics... I am looking into an actual avian vet 3 hours away for more answers as what to expect.

If anyone has any experience with beak injuries I would love to hear how it went.
