So since last year she has been regurgitating on and off I took her to the vet last year and after giving her some meds and not giving her spicy sweet peppers regurgitation stopped until a week ago she began again :( so I noticed this time that she was slightly puffed up, her poop wasn’t the same size (smaller), she wouldn’t touch her fruits and veggies either and I noticed her pellets were barely touched , her weight wasn’t affected and she ate her seeds but not all, so I called her vet but he is in USA recording new chapters with Dr. K so he told me to give her wide spectrum antibiotics and see how it goes so we are on day 3 and regurgitation stopped today, I didn’t thought the other symptoms were connected to the regurgitation when I talked to the vet I told him about the other symptoms and not that the regurgitation was back.

It was getting so bad before the antibiotics began because she would regurgitate at any time in my hand, I uncovered her and she spent several hours doing that so this time it seemed worse than when she did it last year. And i changed toys, and everything to stop her but when I noticed the other symptoms I got worry. The other symptoms she didn’t had them last year.

I hope the antibiotics continue to work! It is possible that it’s all one issue, but you can always call the vet and discuss the regurgitation.

My mom thought it’s weird that I take pictures of Baylee’s poop but I told her it’s important to make sure Baylee is healthy. She was like  :depressed::wtf::blink::unsure:
vet suggested 7 days of antibiotics.

brown liquid is because I’m giving her milk thistle and it’s brownish in color. Poop quantity means she is eating more.

Stringy somewhat granulated urates are a symptom of bacterial infection. All of her symptoms were consistent with a bacterial infection.

Thank you that’s what I thought! Which is why I’m giving her Enrofloxacyn 10% it’s the one made for birds. I’m thinking she might have a bacterial infection in her crop.. :/ so might have to be on antibiotics a bit longer than 7 days.

Do you know the name of the antibiotic you are giving him?

Ok, I don’t think I have had experience with that one, my budgie who had a bacterial inspection was in metacam. I hope Baylee feels better soon! Sorry I said him in my last post.

I thought metacam is an antiinflamatory not an antibiotic but hadn’t use it before... just like meloxicam.

So I began weighting Baylee’s food to know exactly how much she is eating so from 14g of fruits and veggies she was eating only 5g (now it’s 8g) when I detected she have an infection now she is eating 8g and from the pellets it’s 10 g and she is eating 8g and seeds is 12g and is eating 7.5g.

Looking better. Poops will always vary a little.
