Does anyone know how to battle the ants? has anyone used Raid ant spray made with lemongrass extract and geraniol synthesized from pine this is labeled safe for pets and children? I don't want to use something that will hurt my birds Thanks in advance

I just started using Terro traps at the suggestion of @Mizzely and they're working great for me! I'm not sure about the sprays but I would be apprehensive. I've also heard mopping with vinegar is helpful as it deters the ants.

I only trust Terro around my pets and children. Any of the "natural" sprays I've tested in areas they can't reach have done as much good as spraying with water

I've never had issues with them working in a carpeted room, honestly!

@saroj12 I think has a bug spray she likes?

I use ant bait stations, I can't remember the brand. I just put them out of reach for the pets (our dog likes to grab everything). Also use baking soda to draw barriers.

Ants hate cinnamon. If you sprinkle it where they're entering, you'll stop them. Not sure if cinnamon is bird safe.

Jumping in on this thread as I'm at my wit's end with ants coming to eat Preeno's food!

I've tried ant bait stations, bicarb, vinegar. Anything else I could use? They keep finding new entry holes in the floor and even burrow through the bicarb! :tmsmakesme:
