Bald Spot on Grey Cockatiel?

I know that it is normal for lutinos/other mutations to have bald spots on top of their heads but recently my female grey cockatiel has developed a bald patch atop her head, behind her crest.
She is currently going through her first moult and she is 6 months old. Could it be because she is moulting?

My cockatiels have a bald spot there too. It looks normal to me.

I think some cockatiels just have less feathers there than others. Your little bird is a cutie!

Was her mom a lutino? I'm just wondering if it isn't something genetic that has carried over.

And I'm going to disagree - they do not all have bald heads and I have more than a handful to prove that. The lutinos for the most part do and they have different levels of baldness. The majority of my greys, pieds and others do not.

Is it with another cockatiel?
Sometimes they pluck each others heads.....
No idea why.....
Mine did it to each other after their babies left the nest.
Ok again now.
