Bah, pet stores and pine bedding for birds!

Our local "PetLand" pet store (that has the highest puppy selling rate in the US! Grr) sells parrots. Yesterday I went in and they had two Linolated Parakeets in an aquarium with pine shavings for bedding. ACKKK this is so maddening.

I try and teach them about parrot care, but no one listens. Almost all the employees are kids.

Nope. I go in and talk to the bappies. I educate customers and employees on parrots. Some employees like it, some hate it. Tough. I have yelled at kids when they have slapped at the tiels. It is honestly a nightmare when it is packed and little kids are running around unattended.
