Hi everyone,
I have an 11 year old bare eyed cockatoo. I noticed today on the back of her left leg she has a dark spot where normally the skin is smooth, not so scaley, and lighter colored. She doesn’t appear to be favoring it at all. i’m just concerned that it looks like a scab with a little swelling and I know bare eyed ‘toos are prone to bumblefoot so I wanted to see if anyone here has seen this before? She has a variety of perches in the cage and a natural dogwood tree stand, there’s no sharp spots on any perches either.
