Just got back from the vet With Cheddar and BB. They got their nails done and Cheddar got a good going over. The good news is she found no broken bones! I told her he’s not flying at all and she said like from soft tissue damage and it’ll take a while to heal. She he said he looked good and ask what I was doing and told he I was keeping him in his cage unless he was on me as I wanted to keep him from hurting himself worse. I was told to keep doing that and keep an eye on him as he seemed strong. I am to call back a couple of weeks and give her an update. She didn’t want to do an X-ray as she’d either have to hold his wing out by holding him down or use anesthesia, and we know how risky that is for small birds, and she had done a thorough exam and said she didn’t find anything to indicate a break, everything is symmetrical, no drooping wing, nothing at an odd angle.

She said a hard strike can 4 to 6 week to recover from.

Poor Cheddar, I hope he's not in too much pain and will heal quickly.
