Good day everyone.

I found a baby speckled mousebird three weeks ago. It's mom was shot with a pellet gun and he was almost lifeless when I found him.

I managed to pull him through with the help of this site. I'm assuming that he is about a month old now. He is starting to eat and poop on his own now.

He started getting some nice feathers around his face but it seems like they are shedding a tiny bit. Does that have anything to do with diet? So far I have been giving him fresh fruits.

I brought mynah pellets but I am unsure how to feed it to him. Do I need to soak them?

I know nothing about the care of baby mousebirds, but there is a lot of information in the threads that Zara provided. Good luck! Let us know how you get on.
