Hi there,
I'm new to this forum and need some advice. I am hand raising 3 Kakariki babies who are super precious. Mom had 7 but was battling so at 3 weeks I took over with 3 of them and have been feeding them myself 4 hourly for 2.5 weeks now.
One of the babies has had some difficulty feeding due to "panting" and wheezing so he cannot eat so well cos he cannot breathe witht eh spoon in his mouth.
I may have accidently sent food down his trachea and I feel so bloody awful.
They are growing so beautifully and are such soft natured fellas so that makes me feel even more horrid.
My closest vet is way too far away. Can anyone give me ANY advice. He seems rather distressed, Can one not massage the darn food out?
I know this forum says its not to replace vetinary care but I will be devastated if I cause this super cute feathered angels death.
Thanks for any advice you may have.
