I have a baby in the brooder right now who is suffering from some bad twitching that just started today. He shakes his head and shifts his weight on his feet approximately every 3-5 seconds almost like it is a tic. I am worried about his condition. He was banded but i took it off in case that was the problem but he is still twitching. His eye's are very droopy like he is tired, and he wont take much food from me. He is 17 days old.

Here is a video of him twitching

Extra : His other two siblings died in the nest, which is why i pulled him. One had a slight deform in his beak and his parents killed him, the other one died at about 6 days nothing seemed wrong with him but i did find a seed in his mouth.

It sounds like they might all have had genetic problems and that this last chick is showing it through a neorological issue. That's my guess anyway, although I'm no expert on cockatiel diseases. Have you had healthy broods from that pair before? Sorry you're not having better luck with them.

very cute..to me it looks like a neurological issue for sure...I think you need to get him to an avian vet to see what is going on.

He could also have a crop infection...in which case he needs antibiotics

Can crop infection cause uncontrollable body twitch?

Here is some info I found -scroll down to where it says seizures.

Cockatiels and Medical Emergencies, First Aid for Birds, flying accidents, broken wings and beaks, bleeding, broken bones, fractures, animal bites, frostbite, overheating, shock, what is shock, First Aid for Birds, how to remove oil from bird feather

scroll down to where it says seek immediate care.

How is this little one doing? A vet visit is definitely needed here. I would also put some stuffed animals in there for him to lean against.
