Hello everyone. I have a 4 weeks cockatiel. I am hand feeding it but the last two days does not digest. He is full of food. I gave him yesterday at 8pm 5cc of cream and until now he is full and doesn't want to eat anything. I used to feed him every 8 hours 9cc of cream. Anyone who can help me. I don't know what to do to help him

Hello,
Is his crop emptying at all?
Is the bird digesting any food?
Cream? What food are you feeding?
Also what timezone are you in so I can work out the accurate timeframe.

If the crop is the same now as it was since the last feed last night, then it sounds like crop stasis - take your bird to the vet as he likely will need the formula removed.
Other problems this can cause are yeast and bacterial infections.

I already empty the crop. I gave him water with baking soda. Now i will try to give him nystamycin for candida

It is a Spanish brand. It has a good rep here so I would think the problem is not due to the food brand (unless preparation was incorrect).

Then give a little pedialyte to help combat dehydration
What is a pedialyte?

Pedialyte is a solution of water and electrolytes especially made for human babies to keep them hydrated. It is safe to use with birds at a 50/50 concentration with water. I'm sure you have something similar in your country.

Slow crop is a symptom of another problem so while treating it you need to figure out what is causing it.

Some common causes are the baby got cold, the baby is kept in an environment that is too dry or the formula is too thick. Those are the most likely problems so you should make sure that this is correct first before you assume it is anything else.

There are other causes but this would be where you should start.

Can you post a picture of the baby and the environment and temperature you are keeping him at?
