I picked this little guy up a week ago. He's in with my Betta. Maybe an inch in size.

I noticed today, ich on him and my betta! Needless to say, I ran out to get medication for the little tank.

Now that's cute
Thank you. He's doinga fine job on the algae that is in there. He's very tiny, but I put in very tiny pieces of algae wafers so he can eat that too.

I used to have one of these guys when I was little I would just sit there and watch them all day.
They are cute. A first for me with a bristlenose. My Betta, is no longer a loner!

Thanks for tagging me Taxi!
I love him Claire. I used to raise BN. They're so darling.

Haven't done a thread yet but I just got a 125 gallon tank! I'm back into fish!!! Won't hijack your thread. It came complete with fish and 5 kinds of algae so I'm trying to clean it up before posting. What a mess.

You can post it here, he's just one little guy lol!

What kind of fish came in the tank? I think that's amazing and I can't wait to see it!

It is an old Oceanic tank (they don't make those any more -- 1/2" glass!). Came with stand, lights, substrate, filtration.

Here are the fish: a Mayan Cichlid 8" or more, the guy caught him locally. An African catfish, bigger than the cichlid. 5 clown loaches, I LOVE clowns. a yoyo loach. Cory Cats, and about 10 guppies.
These came with it but died while we were setting up the tank; 3 huge goldfish and an angelfish as big as my palm. :(

Oh and you do see he's covered in Ich! He brought it home to my Betta. Changed partial water yesterday and added medication.

Haven't had this issue in years! You'd think stores and wholesalers would pretreat with methylene blue!

Oh no! I love clown loaches too. All that was mixed in the same tank?

I am curious as to the Mayan Cichlid as it was locally caught? I know Tilapia are all over the place down there amomgst other cichlids.

These are probably what I saw last year at the Hilton out on the jet skis. They were big, and friendly around the dock.

Can you tag me when you make a thread? I would love to see, but due to time difference I might miss it (I miss A LOT)

This makes me miss my longfin albino pair. I'd always hoped that Davy and Mrs Jones would give me baby bristlenoses, but I don't think they liked each other much. :(

Thank you! He was so tiny, it was hard to really see until I took a picture and blew it up! They do have some markings on them too, that is why with the naked eye I missed it earlier. Until I saw a few spots on my Betta. It was caught early one. We are onto day 2 of treatment. And the partial water change certainly helps!
