Sigh...all is not going as planned with handfeeding the BN mousebirds I am finding out they are more needy than other species. I thought Baby Belle was weaned and I had moved her and her sister out to a larger flight. She was good and didn't cry and call, but I noticed that the first day not much food was touched.
In the meantime I had pulled the last BN baby...which is Little Bit. I'm using the small carrier with a nest in it for the baby while handfeeding. Little bit is doing fine, and lets me know when he/she (have to sex) wants to eat by raising it's tail.
Baby Belle started looking fluffed in the flight so I brought her in to keep Little Bit company. Baby Belle has reverted back to a baby and now wants to be handfed each time Lit Bit gets fed
