Good morning,
I am added an additional baby Quaker whose parent's chewed off his toes and I purchased a divided flight cage. I will be raising the floor of the cage because it is about 36" high and I don't want any falling injuries..I do worry alot about my birds! lol
I am wondering about the bars on the divider because Perci climbs to the top of his cage (it's about 2 feet) and if there is another baby bird on the other side of the bars I am sure they will be there frequently. There is about 2 months age difference in the birds and maybe they will not show any cage aggression like Quakers usually do. I do not want them to injure each other.
Any safe items that can be used to pad the cage bottom is appreciated. I am hearing non pill fleece under newsprint, bird potty pads, washable dog potty pads (I don't want to use a wrong fabric), some are polyester and I read that is not good for them.
Thank you!
Waynette
