Hello, can you please recommend a good avian vet that you trust in the Chicagoland area? Thanks.

I use Glenwood Village Pet Hospital in Glenwood. I've been going there for about 5 years now, I take all my pets there.

They have 3 vets. One is cats and dogs only (Dr. Herda), one sees exotics as well and is avian certified (Dr. Parr), and one sees exotics too but is not avian certified (Dr. Hernandez) .

Dr Hernandez is who I see. She's been with us through many struggles and has never let us down. The techs and receptionists are extremely nice as well, it feels like a family there. They all really go above and beyond there.

Their website is Glenwood Village Pet Hospital | Glenwood Pet Hospital

It's outside of Chicago but Dr. Welle at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign removed a blood tumor from my amazon and saved his life. The chances of him surviving that surgery were extremely low. The testing capabilities there are amazing.

We lost MC months later because cancer had spread through his little body.
