For weeks I have been searching for a relatively cheap way to buy TOPS parrot food in Australia, and I have found the holy grail!!

http://parrotdiseperch.com/east/totally-organic-pellets

This site is in Canada and their international shipping to Australia is really cheap if you go for standard shipping!
Canada Post
  • Small Packet International Surface $13.88
  • Small Packet International Air $24.33
  • International Parcel Surface $46.72
  • Xpresspost International $74.15
I was so excited had to share haha

You do have to be careful the aussie post doesn't snatch it.
US shipping to AUS is outrageous. No more snail mail unless its a small letter. Packages have to go priority.
I sent my mom a small package of underwear & postage was $50! Later I found out she had lost a lot of weight & they were too big so I was out a lot of money for nothing. I can't send anything over there. If I buy a gift its usually a silk scarf so I can ship it within reason. Better not mention the silk part too as they probably will ban it for being part of a insect.

Bags of food could contain eggs or larvae...

I checked it out by shopping Can West store as its closer but a bag of tops shipped gave me higher shipping to the closer CA USA

Canada Post
  • Expedited Parcel USA $20.76
  • Xpresspost USA $32.79
To send to my parents in NSW

Canada Post
  • International Parcel Surface $44.48
  • Xpresspost International $70.50

I'm not finding your small packet shipping.

Perhaps it has to do with the different stores? I copied the shipping straight off their page :/
Better check it. Small packet might be for something like a syringe or something very small.
I put a 12oz package of tops in my cart & used the shipping calculator. I did it with the CAN west store as it was closer.
Seems they have a CAN East too. Not sure what that is????

Checked the east & it came up!!! Guess you can't use the CAN west. Gosh I figured it would be less distance & be cheaper!

You should probably check out Danita's T4W if you want TOPs. She's also in Canada, sells cheaper than Parrotdise Perch ($8.25 vs $9.75 for 1lb). It's not a huge difference, but it adds up after a while. I find Parrotdise Perch to be very expensive on everything.

TOPS Totally Organic Pellets Bird and Parrot Food from Things for Wings, West Coast of Canada

Another thing to consider is shipping standard post to Australia would probably take an extremely long time. These are organic pellets with no preservatives, so may spoil.
