I just realized I never properly made an introduction!
This is Asja, my nearly 11 month old sun conure.
I think he is absolutely gorgeous with his green spots.
He also unfortunately has some issues. Congenital neurological and digestive issues- this means he has an uncontrollable head bob and wing flap, and is a little harder to keep weight on. It's being managed totally fine and he still is full of energy and cheekiness.
His favorite things in the world are sunflower seeds and chewing absolutely everything he can find. Usually my face. He also loves to talk and scream!
Hoping to free flight train him in the future IMG20250820133238.jpg

Asja looks stunning! Birds are certainly little hams. Cute and spunky! Thanks for the post!

:welcome2: I think we only have one active member who does free flight, but it’s with macaws.

Sun conures are such colourfull and active small parrotts.
The local petshop used to have a display avairy that was about 4mtrs square - yes tall as well - that they had had a mini flock of 6 in.
So I have seen that they enjoy a good long fly while remaining quiet, as they came to food treats redily.
