Are large parrot pellets safe?

We recently got an injured Quaker and bought some pellets to give it along with fruits, but the pellets we got are for bigger parrots (the bag says African Greys, Eclectuses, Amazons and Cockatoos).

Is it safe to give these to it or should we try to find some for smaller parrots?

Majority of the pellet brands are identical in formulation regardless of size. Some are slightly different.

The biggest issue you may run into is that they simply won't eat it.

I think so! My IRN actually prefers bigger sized pallets over smaller ones, sometimes I give her some of my macaws’ pallets. The ingredients are mostly the same. (I use Zupreem Natural pallets)

Zupreem formulas are identical regardless of size :)

My caiques like the larger pellets better than the ones recommended for their size too.

When I ran out of food I got the bigger size out of curiosity..he loves them now! They’re almond sized. He likes splitting them in half, almost like unwrapping a present!
