Are guests allowed to see profiles

Could be anything that a member puts in that they think is private for members only. I've never really looked at this sites settings so not sure what they are. But some other sites I'm on for firearms, guests cannot see anything but posts. Then each member sets friends that are allowed to see profiles if they allow it.

I was bored tonight and was just looking around and seen that.

When I enter the site as a guest and try to see someones profile I get a pop up saying I don't have permission to see that.

But when I am logged in and look at "Current Visitors" I see a guest viewing a members profile.


Glad I brought this up as it gives members a chance to reassess what they have opened up.

I am still curious to know what people have listed on their profiles that your worried about. It’s not like members have their full name, social security number and address

In my profile it show conversations. A member gave me his email address and from what I can see is everyone can see the profile conversations or is that just because it's mine and I'm logged in.

Any member can see profile conversations. Has always been that way. Go click on new posts and you will see a tab with all of the profile conversations. The only thing private on here is pm’s
