Are cable-ties safe to use around a birds cage?

I Need to know if cable ties are safe to use around birds in-case they chew on the cable-ties around his travel cage for taking him outside in the sun for a few hours a day, I'm scared for my bird if his cage were to open from below and cause him to escape outside

Cable ties are fine. Just monitor them for signs that he has been chewing on them

I use zip ties all the time! Super useful. Just be sure to either melt the cut ends or keep them intact, and you'll be fine
