I was wondering how well it turns out.

I inherited a N80 and never use it because it's film.

I have scanned a few here and there (from pre-digital camera days). It turns out... passable, but not great. I havent really gotten good enough to say that it would be worth it to scan my film pics to digital... but Ive done a few that I just "had to have" online :)

I scan alot at work and home. Seems to work well. You can adjust the quality, color etc., it's easy :)

Yes, just wipe the dust off the pic, first. EVERYTHING shows up on a scan,

I have scanned thousands of photos. Most of them old ones because I am very into genealogy. I always scan them at the highest resolution I can, I can always decrease it later if I want. If you do them at a high enough resolution they turn out very good.

Clean the glass on the scanner also. I had spent 2 hours scanning photos for a book we made for my in laws for their 50th anniversary when I discovered that every picture had some big fingerprints on them from the scanner glass

This is a photo of my family before I was even a twinkle in my Dad's eye :) It actually looks better than the original because I could play with the settings. Mines a Dell that came free with my computer ~ 5 years ago or so.

I've scanned a few and they have all turned out good. Here's one that was taken with just a normal camera that I scanned with my HP 1610xi All-In-One
:hehe: Gotta love the hair in the early 90's. My parents playing tetris against each other.

And here's another one that was done by a photographer at our wedding that I scanned too.

I have a lexmark all in one printer scanner copier. I think I paid $139 for it

this is an old photo that I didnt fix at all so you can see what the quality looked like scanning it and it wasn't scanned at a real high resolution either It was only at 300 dpi

I use my hp scanner all the time works great. I'm in the process of looking for a good all in one printer - fax- scan - copy I'd like to combine them to free up some space.
Just don't know what to buy, it would be used for home office.

I've scanned pics taken back in the 1900's, I've scanned pics taken with a disposable 35 mm and a lot of professional pics - they all turn out great some were scanned with a older Lexmark can't remember the model More recent ones is a lexmark X4550 all in one

this pic was taken in 1916- my great grand father

not sure when this one was taken, but i had to scan frame and all because some loon cleaned the glass on the frame with the pic in it, the windex leaked onto the pic and now its stuck to the glass - my grandfather and his family

a few professional pics scanned with the older Lexmark - my daughter - yes the Hair background is supposed to be there its not a mess up on the scan or anything its similar to the pic under it

a couple disposable 35 MM's scanned - my grandfather with my daughter on her 1st xmas she was 4 months old

My son at 1 yr old

5yrs old

xmas 2001 - a little over 1 yr old

I've got a photosmart print/ scanner/ copier all in one. The photos I've scanned have turned out fine. I just placed the picture on the scanner press a button, my photosmart auto resizes it if needed to the correct resolution then I press accept and where I want it to go.
