looks like water hyacinth to me.
Very invasive in the USA if released into the wild. Very expensive to combat.

Thank you!!! It’s invasive here too. I’ll call the agricultural department on Monday to get them to tell me what to do with it- I’m guessing they’ll send someone out to collect it and double check there is no more.

Yeah thanks... already discovered that.
I will call the agricultural department on Monday and let them know I have it. It says not to dispose of it yourself so I’ll make sure they are involved and it’s dealt with correctly.
I also let the person who sent it to me know so they can do the right thing and rid of theirs too.
