I have kept Mario's cage near the wall and in front of the window so he can look outside the window. I have noticed him facing the wall sometimes during daytime too if he is inside the cage. If he is out, he won't leave my shoulders and will only get down to eat. He is still taking time to get comfortable around the house and am ok with it, but him looking at the wall constantly worries me. He does that sometimes at night, which I understand he would do if something is scaring him.

Does anybody's bird do this?

Valentine does this when she is on her playstand, then after a few seconds she plays with a toy or takes a nap.

I think it's something to do with how they are raised if sweetie sees a white wall, especially a corner she goes into baby mode and gets excited

Maybe he doesn't like being in front of the windows. No security there like if his cage was on a wall. Could be a resident hawk making him nervous, neighborhood cat, etc. can you move his cage so only 1/3 of it is in front of the window? That way he can sit in front of it if he wants or stay in the "safer" area on the wall?
