Aloe + water mix for spraying our birds??

I have heard of this before. Does anyone use this? How often do you use it? What kind of aloe do you use? How much of each thing do you put in?

I use pure aloe juice found in the pharmacy dept at Wally World in a spray bottle (full strength)

I do not know the ratio as I am allergic to aloe I am sorry

Ahh I wondered what Isle it was in at wal-Mart, i found it on their website but it never said where it was Explains why I never can find it down the Juice Isle

You'd probably be able to find it smaller at Health food stores , but Aloe is great to have around, It's not just for the birds

but with the ratio for a spray for birds I do believe it is 50/50

i think it comes in a smaller size - same brand - you should be able to call the pharmacy at wallyworld and see though if you don't want to make a trip

aloe vera juice is also sold at health food stores - you just want to make sure it is pure aloe juice (it should say so on the label if it is)

Wally World likes to hide things - it is usually on the bottom shelf which makes it even harder to find!

I think the ratios are somewhat of a personal preference as well - for my CAG, I use it full strength, but for other types of birds, it may be better to dilute it

Thank you! Squeeky has been having a little molt going on and I know he has been itchy. I was thinking aloe might help him.

it's a good idea Miriam, it is very soothing. One of my dogs has severe allergies and I use it on her as well and it helps

yes they do me and my b/fs mom was there a few weeks back I was on the search for Childrens Head ache pills either chewable or melt aways we spent a good 45 minutes in the pharmacy and baby isle never did find any LOL

Would a 50-50 solution work for Koba or should I use 100%? She's a chewer and I think this may help a bit.

I use Aloe Juice that I buy from a healthfood store. They have it in smaller bottles. I mix it 50/50 with water and spray my birds with that. I had a foster Too that was a plucker and it really seemed to help her.

I finally got mine today - will be mixing it in their spray bottle tomorrow

but I forget - we can add it to their drinking water too can't we? Just like ACV or GSE?
