Any ideas how to get a bird that hates fingers on the scales?

Will he step up onto a perch? Luke looking so cute!

After lots of practice (and spinach) I got Luke to sit on the scale for the first time. He was so thin originally because of his antibiotic treatment but it’s good to see he’s at a healthy weight. he just looks so cute!!:rolleyes:

My two are hilarious, they could be soaking wet and they'll still hang upside down with their wings open waiting for more! Did you use the fine mist? I'm just so shocked about a linnie hating bathing!

So my mum bought home an Orchid Mantis. He's tiny (about 5mm) and I just held him as I put him into his new setup! You don't even feel a thing when they walk on you. Je seemed to be so friendly. (Terrible) pictures to follow

If s/he is a male, the about an inch. If female then up to 2.5. Care is quite simple. Humidity is the most important thing. They eat the same as the dart frogs
